About the Neighborhood

Coney Island in Brooklyn, NY, is known around the world. Closer to home, it has gained the title as “America’s Playground,” with the beach,  amusement parks, NY Aquarium, MCU Park (home of the Brooklyn Cyclones baseball team), Cylone Roller Coaster and other attractions bringing in hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. What is less well known is the
diverse community west of the amusement area. Approximately 60,000 people live in Coney Island, loyal and proud of the community they call home.
